Oh So windy today!

I can't believe how windy it was in Melbourne today. It wasn't really that bad until later in the afternoon and then it started raining. Really fat raindrops. But that didn't last long unfortunately.

Coban & I went to Jell's Park today and met up with some other Mums and their children that we normally meet up with once a month. It was a really nice morning besides the wind! Coban wouldn't sit still though so i didn't really get to chat too much to the other Mum's. He did, however, go down the slide by himself which i was very proud of!

I have so many things on the go at the moment and i feel rather overwhelmed by it all. I have managed to get some scrapping done tonight so that has eased a little of my backlog but there are still so many other things i need to do. Mum's b'day present for one. Her b'day was last Sunday!. :(
I will get it done Mum!!!!

I joined the PBP chat tonight which was great fun. Those girls can chat. LOL. I had to leave at 10pm though so that i could finish a LO i was working on. My computer is so slow at the moment. It is driving me batty. I can't wait to get a laptop and get my stupid external harddrive working!

Oh, with all the excitement and muddle-headedness this week, I forgot to tell you all my exciting news........


LisaS from PBP has asked me to join her CT!!!


I am so honoured to be working for 2 amazing designers! Both of them are quite different in their designs so I will always have loads of inspiration. I am so excited at the moment and really can't believe that i am so lucky!! Looks like things are looking up!

In 2001, my Mum & I went to Stephen Silvagni's Testimonial dinner. There were so many past & present Carlton footy players there as well as some big shot AFL celebrities. We were lucky enough to score a photo each with Alex Jesaulenko. This man is a true living legend and i will treasure this photo of us.

Slacker!

Well i have been so slack with my poor old blog this week. I have so many things on the go at once and this just seems to get pushed to the back of the queue. :(
Everyone seems to be healthy in my house now. {Touch wood} Coban is getting really clingy at the moment though. It is very frustrating when i'm trying to get ANYTHING done! Now that it's warming up a bit, we will be able to get out of the house and go to the park more often. Thank goodness.

I have decided to enter the Embellished Idol even though i am a digi scrapper. I try to scrap more paper like so i thought it was a great opportunity to get some inspiration. Those girls are phenomenal with what they can do. Anyway, I don't expect to stay in for very long because they probably all think i'm a faker LOL but i will still give it a go.

Faer Oak's new Sketch challenge is up at PBP now. I love this sketch and will be getting onto it asap. She has such a talent for her sketches. I love them.

I better leave it there as it's lunch time for Coban!!

Up too early!

I have been awake since 4am this morning and I'm feeling a bit tired right now. I can only imagine the kind of day I will have. Coban woke up at 4am crying & coughing. I put him back to bed and couldn't get back to sleep. Then i started coughing and couldn't stop. Grrr... So being the considerate person that I am, I got up and ironed DH's work shirts. And now here I am.
At least I can get started on some new LO's. :)

Coban has copped it big time. The poor thing is sleeping well at night but during the day he is miserable and nowhere near his cheery, chatty self. It is very heartbreaking to see him so miserable but i am also tearing my hair out because I can't get anything done. Feeling a bit down atm.

Also, I just want to send lots of hugs and love to Kaysie. I don't have a clue what you are going through sweetie but I have you in my thoughts and I pray that everything goes well for the rest of your pregnancy.

I have managed to get a few LO's done recently which I'm pretty happy about. I did try to do one tonight but I think I am way to buggered for that. Two glasses of wine have hit me big time. LOL

This is a LO I did for a photography challenge at www.digiscrapshak.com. I had to use one B&W and 1 Colour photo.



This Lo was for a sketch challenge at DSS and I used Faer Oak's new kit "Turtle Tiz" which is available at pickleberrypop now. I love this kit. It is so fresh and cute. And what about that little turtle?? Too sweet.



I also managed to get a double LO done. But I will have to upload it tomorrow. I have to fix something first. LOL

Sick, sick, sick!!

Well it seems the sickness bug has come to visit my household. :(
My DH has been sick for weeks. He started getting better then went out on the town with a mate for a whole weekend!! Silly bugger is now worse off than he was to start with.
I have had hayfever and am now starting to get what DH has. And poor Coban is miserable atm. I think he must be getting it too. He has not stopped crying all day long and i am exhausted!! He has not cried for the past 1/2 hour though so fingers crossed it stays that way!!

I have managed to get some LO's done in the past couple of days! YAY!!! I feel so behind atm.

Finally 2 months left to wait!!!

For those of you that know all about my partial molar pregnancy, I am finally nearing the end of my waiting!!! I have 2 months left before I can hopefully TTC #2. I will still need a blood test once a month until then just to make sure my levels have stayed at zero. But I am so relieved to know that it is almost time!!! My levels on Monday were 1.4 so yippee! :D

Long time, No post!

Well I have been very slack at posting already!! How sad is that??

I have been doing very little lately as it's too cold and yuck! I have managed to get a bit if scrapping done though so i'm happy about that. I just did this layout for the September Theme Challenge at Clikchic Designs:
The journalling reads: This is the fig tree in the middle of our backyard. It has obviously been neglected for many, many years as it is absolutely massive and looks so wild. In Spring, it starts sprouting its new leaves and even though it looks very unkempt, I still think it looks very funky. Abstract even. The best thing about the tree being so big is that it bears an abundance of figs.

I am pretty happy with the way it turned out actually. It's pretty simple and didn't take me long but i like it. LOL

This is another LO that i finished today. I used Faer Oak's Aquamarine Lagoon kit for it. Plus the alpha & photo corners were from her Mossy Meadows kit. The overlay is by Amy
Teets & the font is Pea Randa.


I also found out this morning that my entry into the August sketch challenge at Clikchic Designs, has been selected as a finalist!!! I am very, very excited about that!! I definitely have much more confidence in my abilities now! Especially being chosen as a CT member for Faer Oak! That just made me so proud. Sorry, rambling...

I won't be home for most of this weekend so there will be no scrapping from me. :( It is our godson's 2nd birthday on Sunday so we will be going to their place for lunch. He is such a little cutie. I found it very difficult to buy him a present today. I think 2 is such a difficult age especially for boys. But i managed! I bought him a View Master thingy and a Pop up book. Oops, his Mum might be reading this. LOL.

I did a market research thing with a friend on Wed & Thur nights. It was ice cream tasting and it was awesome!! I could of sat there for hours eating all the ice cream. LOL.

New LO's

I have just done Faer Oak's first ever sketch challenge at Pickleberrypop. It was such a gorgeous sketch too. I think i will end up using it again. Anyway, I used a photo from my Mum's wedding. It is of the female side of the bridal party. From left to right- my sister Chantelle, my Mum, me (7 months pregnant), Mum's best friend.



I also did an All About Me page the other day. I don't really like doing AAM pages as i never have any photos that i like but this one seemed OK.



I had a busy day today! Coban spilt water water all over the calendar that i made Daniel for Father's Day so i had to print it out again. Then i had to go and get it bound again. I also had to have a blood test and had to wait for well over half an hour for them to get their acts together!! I then went and did some grocery shopping and came home. LOL. It doesn't really sound that busy does it? PMSL. Well i felt busy so that's all that counts.

Tomorrow my Mum is coming over. We haven't seen her for about a week but it feels like ages. Coban adores her. They have so much fun together. I guess the fact that my Mum is still so young (and the fact she is silly) means she has still got so much energy to play with Coban and look after him.

Daniel has a gig tomorrow night too. I think i might go along to watch. As long as my MIL can come over to look after Coban. I'm pretty sure that will be a possibility.

CT news!!

Well it is now official!
I am a part of Faer Oak's Creative Team. Faer's designs are just breathtaking and all the ladies on the CT have done such amazing work. I am so priviledged to be considered amongst the talent. Which reminds me, Faer Oak is having a big sale on her designs at Pickleberrypop. Go and check it out. You won't be disappointed.

I'm going to leave it there for now. I will pop back in tomorrow. The V8's will be on tv at 12pm so i will be glued to the couch all day. LOL.

First Post

Ok I have finally succumbed! I have entered the land of Blog.
It took me ages to figure it all out but i think i have the hang of it now.

As usual, something always ends up happening the day of a major V8 Supercar race. Last year i missed a lot of Bathurst and this year i may miss Sandown. :( I have my fingers crossed that it doesn't come to that but with Fathers Day and my BIL's birthday, it could well happen. I will only be watching it on tv anyway so i could probably sneak peeks all day. LOL Yes, I love my V8's. LOL

Tonight my BIL's band are having a CD launch in St.Kilda somewhere. I will miss out on going but Daniel will be there. It should be a good night. I honestly couldn't be bothered finding a babysitter and getting myself all dolled up tonight. I think i need to scrap. LOL. I have spent so long trying to figure out this damn blog that i have missed out on scrapping.

I scored myself a scanner yesterday. Daniel's friend is going to live and work in England for a couple of years so he lent it to me. He is the one that got me started on Photoshop. He keeps telling me to play around with Illustrator but it looks so daunting. I should find a tutorial on the www and go from there.

We have had such glorious days in Melbourne for the past couple of days. I have had all the windows and doors open so that i can air the place out. It is so refreshing. And Coban is able to wear shorts and a t-shirt. I love it!!

Nothing else to report atm. I should go and make myself a coffee i think. Bye for now.
