Oooppss.... Long time between posts.

I have been very slack with this blog. I guess my life is not all that interesting lol.

We had a lovely weekend just gone. On Saturday we went to visit Daniels' grandparents for lunch. His grandpa had a hip operation a little while ago and he is still housebound and unable to do anything really. He is not in the best of spirits as you could imagine but I think it cheered him up a bit to see us. We decided to tell them about the twins too so that helped brighten their day.

When we got home, It was almost time to sit down and watch the footy. I was so excited because I have missed my footy so much. I am not a fan of cricket so it's always a great feeling when the first footy game of the season starts. My Blue boys won which is not something that we have been used to for the past 5 years or so lol. But we did win and I think we played really well. I was just like a proud Mum jumping around the loungeroom cheering. DH even gave me a high five and laughed along with me. Yes, we are a little nuts...

Sunday we went to buy Daniel some new pants, shirts and ties for his new job starting next week. He has been promoted to Service Manager and will be going to a different department so it's going to be a big change for him. I know he will be great and have every confidence in him.
He did look super spunky in his new clothes too. Look out girls... LOL.

After that we headed to Belgrave Lake Park for a friend's daughter's 3rd birthday party. It was a nice day and Coban had a ball running around in his Spiderman outfit. We were told to dress up but only the birthday girl and Coban were dressed up. They did look cute!!

And now we come to today. Not a lot happening at the moment. We have some of DH's friends coming over tonight for dinner so I had to go and buy some food and will continue cleaning the house soon. I can just see that I am going to be so exhausted by the time they get here. I don't think it will be a big night for me.

Day Out

Today I met up with the most lovely woman. Her name is Jo and she is on Amy C's CT with me. We decided since we live near enough to each other, that we would meet at Chadstone and have a coffee. Although we ended up ordering fruit smoothies because neither of us drink coffee lol.
Coban had himself a nice big babycinno and a smiley face cookie which kept him amused for a short time.

We did a few trips of the centre and let Coban have some rides on some of the kids rides to keep him amused. He was really not in the best mood due to the heat all week but i'm sure Jo won't hold that against us lol. Apart from Coban's whingeing, I had a really nice time and am so glad to have had the opportunity to meet Jo in person. She has the most beautiful South African accent too which I just adore.

Coban cried all the way home in the car too which was really frustrating but he is fast asleep now so i can relax a bit. I might try to get some scrapping done. I have some new stuff from Amy C and Faer Oak to use so i better get to it.

Belly Pic

I have been meaning to post a pic of my belly for ages but it wasn't until Jo requested to see it that I got motivated. So here it is @ 10 weeks. I can't remember how big I was at this stage with Coban but i doubt it would have been this big. And I started off smaller this time around too so I guess it is all comparable.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day to all who celebrate. We don't celebrate it here. DH doesn't believe in it. And really, neither do I but i do love chocolates lol.

I was meant to come in here earlier and post some pics from our weekend. We went to watch DH and his mate playing guitar at a hotel near our place. The hotel holds live music every Sunday afternoon and it is a lot of fun. Quite a relaxing day spent with friends and family. They normally hold the entertainment on the balcony outside the retsaurant but there was wedding that day that was held later than expected so the boys had to play down by the pool area. It wasn't too bad really but not so good if you have a toddler that just wants to swim all day.

Enjoying a swim.

I was pleased to have my friend Lisa, her DH Matt & DS Trent come along to watch. It was lovely to meet Matt and to catch up with Lisa again. Although I was trying to get around to talking to everyone as DH's family were there too.

Happy Birthday to our little kitty cat, Sherrin. He turns 1 today.

I have been able to get quite a few LO's done lately which has been great. I hope my mojo sticks around for a while longer. I am hoping to get some belly pic LO's done soon. Now that the belly is starting to look like it is actually carrying twins. It's really not that big but it is round and getting firmer and to me it is quite noticeable.

Chit Chat!!

I can't believe it is Wednesday already!

So we headed down to Point Lonsdale on the weekend expecting it to be hot but we were disappointed. The weather wasn't that bad but it wasn't hot enough for swimming at the beach. Coban still wanted to wander in and get wet but i would only go in a little bit becasue it was too cold lol. I am a big woos!! We were lucky enough to see the Spirit of Tasmania come through and it was pretty close. Such a big ship!!

We came home on Sunday afternoon and walked in to a lovely clean home (I cleaned it all on Friday), which unfortunately didn't last for too long. Once we started unpacking the car and Coban started playing with his toys, it looked like we'd been home all weekend. And I still have so much to do. I keep meaning to sweep down the cobwebs that love to attach themselves to our ceilings. I probably should wash the windows (yuck), scrub the shower and bath, dust everything, clean walls and cupboards...It's never ending.

Monday I had a Dr's appt at the hospital. It took all of 3 minutes and then i was free to go. Waste of my time really. He checked my blood pressure and felt my tummy. Then asked if I had any questions and that was it! But the good news is that I am now 9 weeks. Still early days but at least I am onto the third month now. It feels good.

My Step-Dad came over last night after work. It was a lovely surprise as we weren't expecting him and we haven't seen him in a little while. Coban adores him and he was laughing hysterically while his Pop was playing and acting all silly. We ordered pizzas for dinner too which was great as we really didn't have anything to cook for dinner lol. It was going to be deep fried fish and chips which DH wasn't too impressed about.

I am starting to get a little worried about how we are going to manage in the next 6 months or so. We are supposed to be moving out of our house at the end of March but there is no way we will be able to come up with the bond for another place so quickly (I thought we had until the end of May). I am going to see if we can stay for another 4 months so that hopefully we can use our tax returns to pay for it. We are also supposed to be going on a 4wd'ing trip through the centre of Australia at the end of March which is going to cost a fair bit of money. Plus it's Coban's b'day on the 3rd April so his party will have to be before we go away and the presents to buy as well. And on top of all that, we need to come up with money to buy a new pram, 2 new cots, 2 new high chairs, 2 new car seats etc, etc... So yeah i'm stressing out a bit. Why can't life just be a little bit cruisy for a change?? :)

We all have our health though so it's not all bad.

On to scrapping now...

At DSS at the moment, there are SO many challenges to get involved in. This one has got to be the most fun. It is the Blog It Challenge and the 4th Blog It challenge was to doodle on a post it note. So here is my not very good attempt at doodling.

Here are the LO's I have managed to do lately:

This is the first ever picture of our twins.

All going well.

We had our scan this morning and both babies are doing well. Heartbeats were 185bpm & 173bpm which has put our minds at ease. They both seem to be around the same size and are measuring about 8 weeks. It was so wonderful to see them both in there growing strong.

Tonight we are heading down to Point Lonsdale for the weekend. We have friends down there so we thought we'd spend some time with them and head to the beach. I have so much housework to get done beforehand though. Plus I still need to get to Medicare and grab some things from the supermarket. It's hot outside and i'm feeling yuck so i need to find some motivation soon.

Nothing else to really report here.

Here are some layouts i have managed to get done:
