Congrats Dee & Rach!!

I am so proud of my mates Rach & Dee! They both made it onto the For Keeps Design Team for this year and i know they are going to blow them all away at FK. I am super excited about it because Rach did a double LO of my girls as one of her first assignments. I have seen a photo of it but i can't wait to see it in print. I totally love it Rach!!!!

I also received a lovely RAK from Sonia today. She sent me a little bag of goodies to use on my exploding box album that i started so long ago lol. I don't have too much left to do so i really should get onto it. I just never seem to have the time to sit down and do it.

Loads of the EB girls are going to the Scraptacular Retreat in July and i so want to go just so i can catch up with them all. But i am umming and ahhing about it because i think i will feel like a fish out of water being that i am a digi scrapper. Even though i would be able to do classes. Plus i am still breastfeeding my girls and hopefully still will be by July so it will be a little difficult to leave them for a weekend. If there were day passes (or night passes lol) available, it might help but i will just have to wait and see how it would all work. If i get a laptop by then, i would be able to take that along too which would be nice but i'm not sure whether i would have it or not by then.

I had a Tupperware party on the weekend and got myself the groovy picnic set. I have been eyeing it off for so long and i am so excited to finally get it. I have to wait a couple of weeks but it's all good.

I really don't have anything exciting to talk about. I am still stuck on K for my A-Z so will have a bit more of a think on that and then update as soon as i get some ideas lol.

I was in grade 1 and the Expo was on lol. I was so upset that i couldn't go. I still have no idea whyat it was all about actually lol.

What I would do if I were suddenly made a billionaire:

Buy a house in Nth Ringwood. One of the huge ones on Heads Rd probably. Mmmm to have such a huge property lol. Definitely go to Tahiti for a week or so and then head over to Disneyland. And then i would buy myself a 2008 model convertible Saab Aero. Oh i nearly forgot, i would buy myself a new MacBook Pro. I would then have to invest some i suppose.

Melbourne Scrappers Meet & Other Stuff.

Saturday morning saw me up nice and early so that i could head in to the city to pick Sonia up from Southern Cross station. For those that don't know, Sonia is an EB scrapper who lives in the country. She decided to come up for our Melbourne Scrappers get together at the Botanical Gardens and she accepted my offer of staying with us Saturday night. I had the most wonderful time chatting and even getting into some paper scrapping (does OTP count? lol). I hope she had as much fun as i did and hopefully we will get to do it again soon.

The get together was fabulous as usual! It was a pretty hot day though which was a bit of a bugger but it didn't dampen our spirits. Coban had a bit of a cold so he went with Daniel to the 4WD show that was on in Wandin. It was a bit sad that he wasn't there for me to photograph but there will be other opportunities. The girls were a bit bothered with the heat and being out and about in the pram all day so they were pretty grizzly and yuck!! I did manage to get some decent shots though so it was all good.











On to some exciting news now. Well it is for me anyway lol.

We are heading to Bali over Xmas this year for 10days. Airfares and accomodation will be paid for so all we need to pay for is food & drinks and spending money. YIPPEE!!! We will be going with Daniel's Dad and some of his close friends so there will be a big group of us. We will be staying in Taman Wana Resort and will have the whole resort to ourselves. It includes cooks, servants, nannies, you name it!! I am beside myself with excitement but i am getting a little concerned about taking all 3 kids on the plane for 13 hours or whatever it is. Coban will be just over 3.5 and the girls will be almost 1.5 so it shouldn't be too bad. Right????? I would love to hear from anyone that has done it?

It's a bit hot here at the moment so i am going to go and put on the Air Con. Mum will be here in a couple of hours to stay the night too. So i'd better get some dinner organised.

Ah that's better lol.
I have just had a frickin horrible afternoon!!! And all i want to do is sit on the computer in peace but all 3 of my kids have decided that sleep is not for them right now. My throat is sore from yelling at Coban and i ate too much dark chocolate and am now feeling sick. lol

So yeah, i am over it and ready for tomorrow. But i have finished a LO so it hasn't all been a waste.



Off to lurk now...

Yippee! A tooth at last.

I have been sticking my finger in the mouths of my girls for ages now to see if i can feel any teeth. Well last night i was greeted by with a sharp little toothy peg in Miranda's mouth!! It is on the bottom gum, the left front one. The one on the right is there but hasn't broken through yet! I am so proud lol. I had a feeling that she was teething so it's good to know that i was right. It doesn't appear that Claudia has any yet but she has been a bit cranky during the day so who knows!

They have both progressed from rice cereal (YUCK) to banana now and i'm really not sure that they are enjoying it all that much lol. At the beginning they seem to like it but after a few minutes they whinge and as expected, most of it gets spat back out. Oh well, it's all experimental at this point so i'm not concerned.

I am still twin feeding the girls and i am so happy that we have made it to 6 months (or close enough to). It still feels as though i have plenty of milk so i am praying that we can get to 12 months with no hiccups. I just have to try and get Miranda to stop biting down on me and Claudia to stop pinching and scratching me lol. My poor (.)(.) are not looking so good PMSL.

Coban is still enjoying kinder. If i use the 'You won't go to kinder' threat he says he doesn't care but i know he loves it! As soon as we arrive, he takes off and finds something to play with and when i say goodbye and give him a kiss, he doesn't even look at me lol. I am finding it a bit hard though as i have to take the girls with me and drop off and pick up is always right in the middle of nap or feed times. So they both usually end up bawling the whole time we are there. :( Plus i have to get the pram out and strap them in, all for a couple of minutes. Oh how i wish my Mum lived close by and didn't work lol.

I FINALLY got a LO accepted by For Keeps mag. I have had LO's in Scrapbooking Memories and Scrapbook Creations but was thinking that i wouldn't bother subbing any more LO's to For Keeps as i obviously don't scrap to their liking. But lo and behold, i get an email saying that they want one of my LO's. That particular LO had already been picked up by Scrapbooking Memories though so i emailed them another LO and they accepted that one. So i should be in Issue 67!!!!

I am very excited at the moment too. Sonia (an EB scrapper), whom i have never met IRL before, is coming up from the country to stay with us on Saturday night. I get to pick her up from Spencer St Station , or Southern Cross Station i think it's called now, on Saturday morning and then she will stay the night. On Sunday we are going to meet up with the other Melbourne EB scrappy gals at the Botanical Gardens and go camera crazy lol. It's going to be such an awesome weekend and i am almost bursting with excitement lol. COME ON SATURDAY!!!!! :)

No scrapping to show today. I have been making a couple of invitations for one of the EB girls for her high school reunion and i am actually really liking them lol. I figured out how to use glitter styles and now i am fully addicted lol. I SO want to start designing my own stuff but my PC can't handle much at the moment so that will have to wait.

And just because, here is a photo of Coban on my sister's horse, Perry. He is always talking about Perry and is not afraid to sit on him even though he is huge!! He is, however, scared of dogs lol.

Claudia wasn't fussed either way. :) It is now 4 or 5 days after they started and they both spit out way more than they keep in but it is very cute to watch. I think we will try some banana tomorrow as they had a small amount with their cereal today. And then in the next couple of days, we will progress to pear. :)

There's not too much happening at the moment. I have spent most of the day today doing housework which has been a bit strange for me recently lol. I am no longer getting a cleaner in once a fortnight so i'm doing it all myself now. I feel on top of things again so i didn't see the point in spending the money for someone else to do it.

I'll leave it there for today and hopefully i will be back on here in the next couple of days to continue my A-Z.

{Johnny Depp}

I LOVE Johnny Depp.!! I have for as long as i can remember. He is the only person on this planet that continues to get better looking as he gets older IMO lol. I think it's pretty funny that he is just about as old as my Mum though.

I have this obsession with collecting every DVD that he has ever been in. I was so excited to get my hands on Cry Baby recently. It was a steal!! I love that fact that he will only do movies that he feels strongly about. Usually they are a little out there or have a twist or something so would never be classed as mainstream. He has obviously done a few big money spinners too!! He is just so bloody talented. He makes me weak at the knees lol.


{Justin}

Justin is the eldest of my 2 brothers. There is 13 months between the 2 of us (me being the eldest). He is the father of 2 beautiful little girls, Takira (almost4) and Maddison (8 months). He is now living in Melbourne with his girlfriend and her 2 other children. When my parents split up in 1986, Justin went to live with my Dad. They lived in Darwin for a while and then made their home in Kapunda, SA. Thankfully they are both out of that town!! Not the place to live when you are a teenager i say!

Justin (and all my younger siblings for that matter) is far taller than me. I am the eldest but sadly the shortest at 5ft 5.5in. We get along very well together even though we were so far apart growing up. I don't remember too many holidays with each other due to circumstances beyond our control. We are quite different in a lot of things but also very much alike in others lol. He is quiet and i am not. He likes Holdens, I like Fords lol. We both hold grudges but can be easily swayed depending on who we are fighting with.

There's not too much more to say about Justin really. I am very glad that he is now living in Melbourne so that we can see him more often. And my kids can really get to know their uncle. Coban adores him and i know Justin feels the same.


{Jewelery}

I am a big fan of jewelery. I will not wear silver though!! I am a gold girl and the more sparkles the better lol. No i'm not that bad really. I do love gold jewelery and pretty much all gemstones but i do wear those beaded type necklaces from shops like Diva. They have their place!!

I have my jewelery that i wear all the time; wedding and engagement rings, gold necklace with a heart locket that Justin bought for my 21st, Small gold hoop earrings that my Mum bought for me, a gold watch that i got for my b'day just after Coban was born, a stunning padlock bracelet that Daniel and Coban bought for me for my first Mother's Day, a twisted looking gold bracelet that Daniel bought me many years ago and a solid round bangle that my Mum had bought me when i was a teenager. I also used to always wear a toe ring but it got a bit tight with my last pregnancy that i took it off and never put it back on again lol.

Kinder update

I picked Coban up yesterday @3pm and he was so excited to see me. I felt so proud when he saw me and came running over with a huge smile saying' Hello Mummy'. It just melted my heart.
He got to bring home a painting and a picture that he made using glue and lots of little bits of paper and ribbon. I guess i am quite biased but i thought they were fabulous!! :)

As soon as we left, he kept asking me if we were going back to kinder so i'd say it was a success. I hope he enjoys it this much for the rest of the year. It was a bit hard on the girls because they had to be woken up so that we could take Coban to kinder but they did ok. I even made the brave decision to go and do the grocery shopping with them all afterwards. :o Thankfully they all behaved themselves.

I have some photos to show on here but i will have to wait till sometime over the weekend because i still need to resize them and i want to have a bit of a play around with them on PS. That's if it doesn't close down on my straight away. Grrr.

I guess i'd better get cracking with my A-Z now. I think i'm up to 'I' now so here goes...

{Ice Cream}

Well along with chocolate, lollies and all that other sweet stuff i LOVE, there comes Ice Cream. I am such a sucker when it comes to ice cream. If it's there i'll eat it! I don't particularly like strawberry ice cream but i will eat it if that's all that's left. My fave ice cream in a tub would be Sara Lee's French Vanilla. It is so bloody creamy it's not funny!! And Baskin & Robbins would have to be my fave ice cream shop. OMG i am in need of ice cream now lol.

Just recently an Ice cream truck came up our court and i made DH and his mate run outside and get ice creams for us all lol. I couldn't believe that it was here! I never see ice cream trucks driving around the streets anymore.



{Instant Coffee}

I enjoy the simple things in life lol. I would much prefer to drink a cup of Nescafe Blend 43 made by myself over a cafe style cappuccino or something. We do have a fairly good coffee machine at home but i never use it. Daniel will often make 'proper' coffee on the weekends but i generally stick to my yummy Instant Coffee. I don't actually like many other types of instant coffee though. Most Nescafe i can drink but i don't like Espresso and i really don't like Moccona or International Roast ewww.



{In Laws}

I like mine!! (I have to say that my MIL reads my blog lol.) No seriously, i get along really well with Daniel's parents and their partners. Both my MIL & FIL live in Melbourne and not too far away from us. They both adore the kids to pieces and would pretty much do anything to look after them lol. In fact, my FIL looked after Coban for a week while i was going backwards and forwards to the hospital when the girls were in SCN. Plus he and his girlfriend have offered to look after the girls for us while we go to a wedding in March. They will be staying at the hotel where the reception is being held so i can pop back and feed them when needed.

I have always gotten along with my MIL but the relationship between myself and my FIL wasn'talways quite as strong. I think in the beginning, he was just sussing me out. He was (and still is) a big shit stirrer and it wasn't until i gave it back to him that we started to get along really well. And then i had his grandkids... Needless to say, i'm the favourite DIL lol. (I am the only one but hey!!)



I will get to {J} over the weekend because it will take me a LONG time to write about my most favourite subject starting with that letter PMSL. Anyone that knows me well, knows what i'm talking about and how passionate i am about this particular subject.
