Congratulations Kaye.

I thought this deserved it's own post.....

Kaye Winiecki, the most awesome and talented digi designer around has been asked to join the elite group of designers over at The Lilypad. As most of you know, i am on Kaye's CT and i have been having the most magnificent time working with her fun products. IMO she is the queen of felt and obvisouly the gals over at The Lilypad have decided that her designs are what was missing in their store. So Kaye......CONGRATULATIONS lovely! You will knock their socks off and you know how proud us CT girls are of you. *mwah*

TLP are having a sale this weekend so head on over to pick up some great bargains and see the new delicious September BYOC. I have had a bit of a shop and can't wait to get started on some new LO's.

They're Here!!

I was expecting that our Passports would take weeks to arrive but within a week of lodging them at the Post Office, they have arrived. I am so excited!!! ;) Not so keen on the photos in any of them but thems the brakes.

I have been playing around with my camera to try and find the right settings for taking photos indoors. I am shooting in manual mode rather than Aperture Priority and it is fantastic. I still have loads to learn but i am getting there.

I bought a new quilt cover set today. I decided that i needed a new one for the new house as the bedroom has a brown colour feature wall and i didn't have anything that matched. So this will not be used until we move. I can't wait to set it up. :)

I also heard today on the news that Mark Priestley, who plays Dan Goldman on All Saints, has died; apparently taking his own life. This has made me so sad as he was one of my faves on All Saints. I am going to miss seeing his gorgeous face each week.

RIP Mark.

Quick Update

I have a few minutes before i need to go and pick Coban up from kinder so i thought i should blog. There hasn't really been all that much happening here lately. I am trying to get stuff packed which is really hard when I have to think about what i'm able to pack now and what we will need to use before the move. Plus i don't have all that many boxes at the moment so that's a bit tricky. I am getting so excited about moving into 'our' house. Daniel will get stuck into a couple of things around the house as soon as we move in he is taking a week off work. Dad is also planning on coming down at some point after we've moved in so he will be able to help do stuff too. He loves that kind of stuff. He is pretty handy.

Dannii came over with her beautiful girls yesterday for a play. It was lovely to catch up. I feel so comfortable talking with Dannii; like i've known her forever. Plus she knows what it's like to have twins plus an older child so we always have things to talk about. She is actually doing a photo shoot for us in September which will be fantastic. I thought it would be nice to have some family shots to celebrate our first year with the girls and as a complete family. You can check out Dannii's photography at Kipindi Photography.

I have a couple more LO's to show too.

Digi Scrapping Announcements

On the 26th of June, 2008, 18 year old Mitchell House was involved in a very horrific accident after driving into a herd of black Angus cows at around 2.00am in the morning on his way to work. After an amazing miracle Mitchell survived the accident and is now in the ICU at the Royal Hobart Hostpital on a very long road to recovery with his parents, Michelle & Rodney by his side every minute.
They are 5 hours away from home and not able to work for quite some time while he is still in such a serious condition SO Tara Dunstan has brought an amazing line up of designers together to create this HUGE collab/charity kit to help raise some funds to financially help ease some of the burdens they have in front of them.

Check out the line up of designers - WOW!!!

One!!!

One year ago...

Now...

Our beautiful little princesses turned 1 on Saturday. It really does seem like just yesterday that they came into our lives. They have grown so much in so may ways that it just makes me so happy and proud to watch them. They are beautiful, funny, loving, cheeky and of course naughty at times lol. Their party was great. I was getting myself all stressed out the week leading up to it but everything went perfectly. I started to make party food on the Thursday just so i would be organised and by Friday afternoon pretty much everything was done. We had a Police Graduation ball to go to on Friday night so i had to get as much done as i could before than lol.

I am so proud of myself for managing to bake and decorate 2 birthday cakes as well. I get very excited thinking about what cakes to make each birthday but i always end up worrying that it will look crap or that it won't work for some reason but there was no need to worry this year. The butterfly cakes i made turned out great and everyone said how lovely they looked. Not professional standards by any means but pretty bloody good in my opinion lol.

Miranda & Claudia seemed to have a great time too. They looked so pretty in their birthday outfits and they didn't even dirty them. That surprised me the most lol. They were totally spoilt too. From us they got footy jumpers, Cabbage Patch Kids and clothes and the rest of the list goes like this...

* Pink sofa chairs
* Gorgeous wooden Rocking Horse
* PlaySchool DVD's
* More Clothes
* Doodle Pro's
* Melamine Plate sets
* Soft unicorns
* Tea Set
* Books
* Bath Toys
* FP Sit & Stand Giraffe thing
* Money
* Bank Accounts from their Uncle Steve (and godfather)

I think Coban loved the presents more than the girls actually lol. But the pink chairs have been the biggest hit so far. Miranda & Claudia have loved climbing on them (and falling off them lol) and looking out the window.

So a full year has come and gone! It is very exciting but also a little bit saddening. I knew it would happen quickly but i guess it's one of those things that you don't quite get used to.
They had their health nurse appt today and everything went well. Claudia is over 300gms bigger now and a full cm taller so i wonder what this next year will bring.

Onto other exciting news... We bought our first house!!!! We will be moving to Mount Evelyn at the end of October and i am so looking forward to it. We will have some things to do to it but nothing major and nothing too hard. Daniel is looking forward to getting out and doing things. I now need to contact pre-schools and try and Coban into one for next year. It will only be 3 yr old again but these places fill up quickly so who knows what will happen.

And i will only be a very short drive away from the retreat venue for next year lol. Yee Haa!!!!
xxx.
