Australia Day!

Well today is Australia Day!!! I am feeling pretty good today so I have managed to get heaps of washing done and a bit of housework. I was finally able to open up all the windows and air the place out. It is beautiful in here now. DH is at his work putting new shockers in our 4wd and doing a few smaller bits and pieces to it. We are off 4wd'ing for the day tomorrow so it is a good excuse to get all those things done.

Due to my morning sickness, I haven't been too enthused about scrapping lately. I am trying to get all my CT requirements met which I seem to be on track of atm. There are so many ideas running though my head so it's pretty frustrating that I don't have the energy to get it all done. Hopefully I will start to feel more normal soon enough! I am only 7.5 weeks along so it could be a while.

I am planning on going to a crop on Sunday with the Melb EB Scrapping gals. I am really looking forward to it although I won't be doing any scrapping lol. I will have to check out what all the fuss is with paper scrapping. And I will be child free as DH is taking Coban to visit his great-grandfather in hospital. He loves to have 'Boys' days. And so do i lol.

I haven't posted in here for a while so there are a few LO's to show.

I used Laura Burger's Country Grunge kit~ available at DigiScrapShak.

I used Michelle Conrad's Seasons of Change~ available at DigiScrapShak.

I used Catrines Subway kit~ available at PolkaDotPotato. This one was for the January sketch challenge at DSS.

Oh No!!

Tuesday seemed to be going so well. It seemed luck was on my side until about 4pm....

It was a stinking hot day and Coban and I were spending it inside as I wasn't feeling all that well. We don't have an air conditioner but we do have a pretty effective evaporative cooler which we had on. Suddenly the electricity went out. Apparently the smoke from the bushfires had played havoc with the main electricity supply to Victoria. So for 2 hours, Coban & I suffered through the 40 degree heat with absolutely no power.

To make matters so much worse, DH called me at 6pm to say that he had just crashed my car. Now to many people, a car is a car! But I love my car. She is just awesome. I think she's pretty sexy and boy can she can move lol. Enough about my love affair...

DH wasn't sure whether she would be fixed or written off as the steering line was snapped and he couldn't get a look inside to see what else was wrong. DH had her taken to his work so
they could evaluate her situation. We are fully covered so we will be fine no matter what. But apparently after having a quick look over, they think they will be able to fix her up. So now it's just a matter of waiting for the insurance company to hurry up and give the go ahead.

DH sent me some photos of her today. I hadn't seen her at all since the accident.

What a surprise!!!

I am in shock but so deleriously happy right now!!
We went and had our scan this morning which was wonderful. Unfortunately it was too early to hear any heartbeat but we did find out that we are having twins.

Yes, that's right, TWINS!! I could have fallen over if i wasn't lying down lol. I SO never thought i would have twins but both Daniel and I are over the moon. I'm sure it will be tough at times but not everyone has twins so it is such a blessing. Now to find a bigger house lol.

My Spiderman!!

Just thought I'd post these photos of my little Spiderman. One of our friend's younger brother had a masquerade party for his birthday last night and as I was not feeling too well, Daniel took Coban along. I remembered that my Mum had bought Coban a Spiderman outfit for Xmas which had a little mask so we dressed him up and he looked SO cute. Surprisingly he enjoyed wearing the mask.

I have managed to get a couple of LO's done over the past few days too. I am feeling pretty yuck all day now so my MOJO is slowly being drained.

It is my FIL's 50th on Saturday night and we've decided to drop Coban off at my Mum's for the night. Daniel and his mate have been asked to be the entertainment. They do acoustic covers and are awesome. I will obviously not be drinking and will probably be ready for bed not long after the party starts but i will do my best to stay awake. It might be difficukt to keep things under wraps though as my belly is growing into a noticeable little bump. Oh well, not much i can do about it.

I am having an ultrasound this morning so i am sitting here drinking some water (YUCK) but luckily i don't have to drink TOO much. I will come back in and update after the scan.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year.

We have just gotten back from a camping trip near Deniliquin. We headed off Saturday morning and arrived at the campground about 1pm. We stayed in a Youth Camp called Four Post and It was just perfect. The camp was right on the edge of a river so each day we headed down there for a play. Coban, being such a water baby, had a ball. We had to put a life vest on him just in case and he looked so adorable.

I planned on an alcohol free weekend but got sucked into a few drinks on New Years Eve. Only a few glasses of wine and a very small amount of Bundy. One of the guys we were there with gave me the Bundy can to drink as that was always my drink of choice before I had Coban. I managed a couple of mouthfuls just to keep him satisfied but left the rest when I headed to bed at 2am. Apparently everyone else followed suit not long after that.

I managed to take 120 photos so I was pretty impressed with myself lol. DH kept telling me off for not leaving Coban alone. I couldn't help it, he was so cute!

Coban was pretty grumpy for the whole weekend. I think it was due to his teeth coming through but who knows. It was pretty hot while we were up there. He didn't like sleeping too much which drove me mental! Normally he is in bed at 7.30pm and sleeps right through but the first night he was awake till 10pm!!! And then up again at 6.30am.

Oh I forgot to mention that we took our new 4WD away with us. It is so cool!! DH actually took me for a little drive in it which is a big thing becuse it's manual and I have never been able to drive a manual. I did pretty well too. Stalled twice as I was taking off but was darn good by the end. (It was only about 200 meteres driving but i did change gears lol)

We are heading off on a 4WD trip over Easter with the same group of people that we spent the weekend with. We are heading up the Oodnadatta track and depending on time, we will hopefully be going to Ayers Rock. I am so looking forward to it!! I am a bit hesitant to tell Mum as ahe is paranoid about dingo's and babies but she will get over it!! lol
My FIL is lending us some stuff for our 4WD so hopefully we will be all loaded up and looking the part when we head off. I just need to get a good first aid kit from St Johns.

Here are some photos:

This is Coban squished in the back with all our stuff surrounding him lol.

This is Coban with baby Summer.

Swimming in the river with Daddy.

After his swim.

Resting in the boat. What a cutie!!

Part & parcel of being a boy; playing in the dirt!

Playing totem tennis with Alicia.

Daniel taking a power nap whilst getting beer tipped on his head.

On to some other news, the first ever Dingo Lingo Journal has been sent out. For those that don't know, it is the newsletter that Trish Jones has put out. I am on the newsletter team and have an article in there about realistic layouts. I have a signup link in a previous post so you should all sign up for it. The newsletter is heaps different to what you would expect. I am biased but I think it's great.
