My clever kiddies.

Grand Final Day 2008, my clever little girl Miranda, decided that walking was her preferred mode of transport lol. She took her first proper steps on the 6th Sept but on the 27th, she became a lot more steady on her feet and walked around for ages. She still hasn't quite got it down pat but she walks a fair bit and she is very chuffed when she does it. :)

The same day, my cleverest big boy learnt how to write his name on the chalkboard. I wrote it and then he copied it. Daniel & I were so proud lol.


During the week, i took Coban & the girls to see Fireman Sam at the local shopping centre. Coban was pretty excited about it right up until he actually had to go up and give Fireman Sam a cuddle. He was a bit surprised to see that Fireman Sam was so big and soft. I think the softness freaked him out a bit lol. So i didn't end up getting a great photo of them but there is this one...



I have managed to get another couple of LO's done this week too. I seem to be scrapping really quickly lately which is a real surprise to me. It used to take me 2 days to finish a LO most of the time lol. Both of these LO's are CT LO's for ES.

Layouts, Photos and life...

Well i am still alive in case you were wondering lol. A fair bit has been happening round here and i just ahven't had the desire to sit down and type about it all. Plus i was doing too many LO's and couldn't bring myself to sit here for ages uploading them all. ;)

There is only 4 weeks to go until we move into our new house!! There is still so much to do here but i have packed quite a bit of stuff already so we're well on our way. I need to get Daniel out into the garage this weekend to sort it all out. We have heaps of stuff here that belong to one of Daniel's friends who is overseas atm and i really need to get rid of it all. There is NO WAY it is all coming with us. I have made it perfectly clear that i won't be cluttering my new house with this stuff. So hopefully Daniel will speak to his friend asap and get him to organise somehwere else for it all to go.

I found out from my Dad this week that my Grandma has broken her hip. I haven't heard anything else apart from the fact that she had an operation on it. She has osteoporosis so i'm not sure how that affects it but i'm sure it can't be good. I hope to hear from Dad soon to find out exactly what's going on. I feel terrible because i have been lazy and not writing to her for ages. And i mean like since the girls were born. :( I sent her & Grandpa some photos back with Dad last time he came down but that's been it. Daniel has suggested that we go over and spend a weekend with them soon. I know they would love to see the kids; especially Grandma.


Last weekend we had a photo shoot with Dannii from Kipindi Photography and it was a really great day. We got some unreal shots and i couldn't be happier with the results! Here are a few of my faves.

These last 2 LO's are in the latest issue of SM. They don't look quite as nice in the mag. The colours are a bit off but you get that. The last LO accompanies my Click & Crop article and i also designed the free paper and alpha set. I was really worried that the paper wouldn't look very good IRL but it has turned out pretty well i think. I'm not too fussed on the alphas but i went with what they wanted.

Child Free for 2 Days!

The kids are heading over to Mum's today to spend 2 nights there without us. Daniel & I are going into the city to see Wicked the Musical and then stay in a gorgeous hotel afterwards. It is all put on by one of Daniel's work suppliers so there will be quite a few other work guys and their partners going. I can't wait to get dressed up and let my newly-cut hair down lol. We even get 2 free cocktails once we get to the hotel and Daniel has said i can have them both WOOHOO! Well actually i told him that i could have both and he agreed lol.

Saturday night we have a friend's daughter's 16th birthday party to go to. I'm sure it will be a great night as there will be quite a few of us oldies there. I'm sure i will feel old but oh well. ;)

Last night i went and got my hair cut. I got about 4 inches cut off which was a bit weird but i feel so great now. My hair looks so much healthier and feels so soft and silky. I know that will all change once i wash it and try to blow dry it myself lol.

Oh and before i forget, I have been chosen to be on the Elemental Scraps Creative Team. :D I am so excited about it too. The girls over at ES are so lovely and friendly. I feel as though i belong IYKWIM. Plus the designers over there are just fabulous! I had a hard time trying to decide what to scrap with first lol. Oh and you wouldn't believe how many of those girls have twins lol. It's like a digital scrapping twins club. I have lots to do before we leave today so i'll leave you with a couple of LO's.




These first 2 LO's are what got me on to the CT. I used 2 ES Mega kits; Cottage Chic and Festive Cheer. And this next one is my first actual CT LO.


I used Rachel Martin's Backspin kit plus Valorie Brown's Embossed Krafty Papers.


This LO was my last as Guest CT for Pickleberrypop. I used Kaye Winiecki's Plain & Painted paper and Stripees plus KateF's Crazy Quotes, Splittery Splats papers and sketch alphas. And Deb Fisher's Journal tag.


I used Kaye Winiekci's new Stripees~ available at The LilyPad.


And this LO is featured in the latest Scrapbooking Memories. It was for a challenge. I had to scrap a girly page without using pink.

New Look

I decided it was time that i made myself a new blog header and figured it would be a good idea to spruce the old blog up a little while i was at it lol. So what do you think? I think it will take me a bit to get used to but i think it looks ok.

There's not a lot happening here at the moment. Daniel is going 4wd'ing on Saturday with his brother and his Dad and he is taking Coban along too. Coban has really only been once and that was very tame so he is in for a big adventure. I bet he will have a blast. I think i have packed my point and shoot so i will remind Daniel to get his brother to take his camera so i can have some photos of my big boy. I think i will spend the day scrapping lol. Well the 3 hours that i will get when the girls are asleep during the day anyway lol.

I found out today that 2 of the EB girls received phone calls from Scrapbooking Memories telling them that they had made it through to the Masters top 50. So a big congratulations to Mel & Sonia. You girls are amazing scrappers and i have everything crossed that you become Masters for '09.

The house is slowly getting packed up. We don't move until the 25th Oct but i like to be organised.
