I have just received a call from SM mag asking if i will do an article for their Click & Crop section. For those that don't know what that is; It is the digi scrapping section. I need to create a LO and then have 4 steps or techniques that show how i have done something in the LO.

I even get paid for it!! I am WAY excited.

We Finally Met!!!

Coban & I had the pleasure of meeting the beautiful Lisa today. Along with her adorable son Trent. We had such a wonderful time at the park. Lisa & I chatted away madly while the boys played & did what normal toddlers do. It took them a little while to warm up to each other but they did eventually and it was so cute! Coban managed to get himself completely filthy after playing under a tree in the dirt. They then started playing peek a boo behind the wooden table & chairs. The laughter was priceless!

They both continued playing in the garden underneath the trees and having a bit of a cuddle. Coban was so tired by then that he wanted to rest his head in Trent's lap. It was the most beautiful thing to see.

It took Coban about 2 minutes before he was fast asleep in the car. And as soon as we arrived home, he was straight into bed for a 2& a half hour nap.

Thank you for such a wonderful time Lisa. I can't wait to catch up again soon.

I managed to get a LO done after i got home too. It was for the week 6 Elsie challenge at EB.
The photos were taken today at the park. I used Tracy Blankenship's Autumn Blooms kit plus some extras. Credits can be found here.

Bugger!!

Well i have just been booted out of the Idol comp. :(
If i am perfectly honest, I expected to be out this week. I really liked my LO but i think i knew that it was not quite up to the standard!! I am a little bummed but i am so proud to have gotten to round 5. Especially considering i was in a comp with paper scrappers that are remarkably talented.

I just want to wish all the girls the best of luck for this round. Especially all my EB buddies. You girls are awesome. *mwah*

Nothing else to report really. I will be off to meet the beautiful LisaS tomorrow and i am a wee bit excited. I hope she is not disappointed by me. LOL

Here is a LO i did the other night. It is of DS & DH's Nanna. I used the Sweet Garden kit by Beth Hesselberg- available at digiscrapshak.com.

Don't Forget...

Faer Oak is having a 30% off sale at PBP. You have until the 31st October to grab yourself a bargain!! Check my post below for details.

Layout of the Day!!!

I am so excited!! I feel almost famous. LOL
I was just catching up on all the blogs i haven't read in a while and I found my double LO Watch Me Slide was Melissa G's layout of the day on the 20th Oct. Thanks Melissa. You sure made my day!!

It was my MIL's b'day yesterday and we are having some family over for dinner tonight. I have made a yummy Chocolate Swirl cake which looks fab! I can't wait to eat it. :)

I have also made a start on some OTP projects for Christmas. My EB secret santa pressie is slowly coming together. I was so nervous that i would stuff it up but so far it looks cool. I also found some cute things at the Reject Shop for my sister so i will make a start on those soon. I get to scrap with pink & lime which is something very foreign to me. LOL

I have completed my 3rd LO in the Defining Me challenge at PBP. I am a little embarrased by the photo but oh well! It was 10 years ago. Blogger won't let me upload the LO here so you will have to check it out at PBP. Also you can check out another LO i did called Concentration. I used Faer Oak's Aqaumarine Lagoon kit.

I am also in total shock that i made it through to Round 5 of Embellished Idol. I actually never expected to get past round 1 so i am so stoked! The ladies in the comp are all exceptional scrappers and i feel really priviledged to be a part of it. You can check out this rounds entries here: Embellished Idol.

And on Monday Coban & I get to meet the beautiful Lisa S and her adorable little boy in person. I am really looking forward to it as i feel like we were just meant to become friends. I hope she likes me. LOL.

Well that's it from me!! Bye.
Well that's about all i have for the moment.

I have not blogged for what seems like ages!! I apologise.
There has just been so many things going on that i just keep forgetting to get in here and post.

I am now a CT member for Digiscrapshak. YAY!!! I am having so much fun there. The community seems like a really friendly, happy bunch and i just love it. There are some really awesome new designers there too so it is truly worth checking out the shop!

Faer Oak is also having a massive sale at PBP starting 22nd October through till 31st October!!

Head over and grab some awesome bargains!! Faer has just released a new mini kit called Hopeful Harvest which is a beautiful autumny themed kit. And all her layered template sketches are available too.

I attended DebF's calendar chat & crop last night and i had such a great time. The calendar template that Deb gave as a gift is sensational. There will be many Christmas pressies made this year!! Thanks Deb. The calendar is available now at PBP.

Here is the calendar that i made:
I used the new freebie kit from Shabby Princess called Vintage Florals. It is such a gorgeous kit.

I also did a double LO the other day which was chosen as layout if the day at Clikchic yesterday.
Here it is:

My new header!

I just want to take the time to thank Liz for my new header. I totally love it Liz and i really appreciate the time you took to make it for me. It's amazing how generous some people are even though they are across the other side of the world and have not spoken to you before.

Thank you so much!!!

50% SALE!!!!!!

LisaS is having a massive 50% sale for one week only!!!!
Check out her kits at PBP.

Busy weekend & some news!!!

Well i have had such a full weekend. I think i need the rest of the week to catch up.
On Friday night, Mum & I went to see Daniel's gig. It was so great to catch up over a few drinks and just be US!! She stayed at our place overnight and then we went to her place in the morning.

We both had our hair cut on Saturday and I feel like a new woman!! I feel HOT! lol.
Coban had his hair cut too but he was so tired and grumpy that they didn't manage to get much cut off. His fringe is a little crooked at the moment though lol. I think that's a job for Daniel.

Sunday, we had a BBQ for Bathurst. I had a blast! I got to meet Daniel's mates new girlfriend and her 2.5 year old daughter, Fern. She is the most beautiful little thing i have met. Absolutely adorable. Coban thought she was pretty cool and tried following her around a bit. Until Fern got a bit sick of a little boy trying to hold onto her all the time lol. It was so cute.

I was so pleased to see that Ford won Bathurst after such a long drought!!
Well done Lowndesy & Whincup!
My team, Stone Brothers Racing came in 3rd and 4th so i was so excited. There was only 5oooth of a second between them.
Oh, I managed to get through a whole bottle of wine by myself too. I could not believe it! I don't drink much anymore but i did space it over the whole day. I felt great the next morning but poor old Daniel was a bit seedy! That will teach him for drinking goodness knows what after the race had finished.lol.

On to some other news, I applied to be a part of the DigiScrapShak CT a while ago but missed out. I did however receive an email yesterday from Lori Briggs asking me if i would want to join the team as they have some new designers on board and need some more CTM's.
Well of course i jumped at the chance. I am going to be so busy with all my digi-scrapping and what not but what fun!! I am so thrilled to have been offered such exciting, fun positions with the CT's that i'm on. Thank you all so much!!!

And believe it or not, I made it through to round 3 of Embellished Idol! WooHoo. It is going to be so tough to get any further i think. The talent is truly amazing!!! If you haven't seen the work yet, check it out: Embellished Idol

Here is a LO i finished yesterday using Faer Oak's Desert Rose kit.

Quick post & some LO's

I have been so behind in my scrapping lately but today i managed to get 4 done!! I can't believe it!! I have so many different LO's for challenges & competitions to do so i'm so glad that i got a good chunk out of the way.

Tomorrow night Mum is coming over and we are going to go and see Daniel play at the tavern near home. It is going to be so good to be able to spend time together and not have to leave at any particular time. And to enjoy a few drinks lol.

Then on Saturday Coban & I will go to her place and we are all going to get our hair cut. There is a hairdresser near her that cuts my sister's hair and they always do such a great job so we thought we might give them a go. Luckily we got an appointment within 15 minutes of each other . I'm really looking forward to it because i haven't had my hair done in ages! I'm going to feel like a new woman. LOL.

Sunday we are having a BBQ at home and watching Bathurst. Daniel has invited quite a number of his friends so they had better be motor sport fans or at least let me glue myself to the tv without interrupting me lol.

Here are the layouts that i have managed to get done.

This one is week 2 of the Elsie Flannigan 52 week challenge that we are doing at EB.

We had to use a B&W photo to tell the story.

This is a photo that i have been meaning to scrap for ages. I just love the cheeky look on Coban's face as he dips his finger into his Dad's beer. Hmm...

This is a layout that i did for Faer Oak. It is using her It is What It Is papers and Fuzzy Chipboard alpha.

And lastly, this is a layout i did for LisaS. I used her new Aubrey kit which is available at PBP.

Thanks for looking!!!

Oops... Long time between posts!

Well it seems forever since i lasted posted on here. Sorry about that!

I spent yesterday going through all the drawers and cupboards that i throw junk into all the time. I figure i need to start getting rid of as much junk as possible before we move. I know we still have till December at least but i'm sure there's a lot of junk that needs to be gotten rid of.

Daniel has been helping his Mum do the same thing at her house too. Although she has 20 odd years worth of hording! I just couldn't handle that! I go through our stuff at least once a year. I hate clutter. Anyway, Daniel spent last weekend cutting trees in her backyard. Coban and I went as well but we didn't have to help. I took some cute photos of Coban so i better hurry up and scrap them.

I have managed to get some LO's done recently.

I will start by showing the LO i did at the PBP speed scrap and chat on Friday night.
This was so much fun to do. Although my computer nearly died when i tried to chat and scrap at the same time. I ended up closing chat until i'd finished the LO.

Please click here for credits.

This layout was actually for a scraplift challenge at TheDigiChick. I think it turned out really well.

Please click here for credits.

This is a layout that i just whipped up!! I had the idea in my head to use a star as a feature point so off i went.

Please click here for credits.

This is a layout i did using the Babyface kit by LisaS. This is such a sweet kit. It actually had a fair bit of pale pinks throughout the kit but i managed to just use these colours and it worked pretty well. The Babyface kit is available at PBP.

Please click here for credits.

This LO was actually picked as Layout of the Day for 29-9-06 at Clikchic Designs too. I am quietly chuffed about that!!

Just before i leave, i am pleased to say that i made it through to round 2 of Embellished Idol. There are SO many talented scrappers in this comp so i am a bit surprised that i made it through but i am finding it really fun at the moment. It is really challenging me to think outside the square.

Oh and congratulations to the West Coast Eagles for winning the AFL grand final yesterday. It was an awesome game. Sydney put up a great fight in the last quarter so well done to them too.

Roll on 2007, Let's see how the Blues can go!!!!
