One!!!

One year ago...

Now...

Our beautiful little princesses turned 1 on Saturday. It really does seem like just yesterday that they came into our lives. They have grown so much in so may ways that it just makes me so happy and proud to watch them. They are beautiful, funny, loving, cheeky and of course naughty at times lol. Their party was great. I was getting myself all stressed out the week leading up to it but everything went perfectly. I started to make party food on the Thursday just so i would be organised and by Friday afternoon pretty much everything was done. We had a Police Graduation ball to go to on Friday night so i had to get as much done as i could before than lol.

I am so proud of myself for managing to bake and decorate 2 birthday cakes as well. I get very excited thinking about what cakes to make each birthday but i always end up worrying that it will look crap or that it won't work for some reason but there was no need to worry this year. The butterfly cakes i made turned out great and everyone said how lovely they looked. Not professional standards by any means but pretty bloody good in my opinion lol.

Miranda & Claudia seemed to have a great time too. They looked so pretty in their birthday outfits and they didn't even dirty them. That surprised me the most lol. They were totally spoilt too. From us they got footy jumpers, Cabbage Patch Kids and clothes and the rest of the list goes like this...

* Pink sofa chairs
* Gorgeous wooden Rocking Horse
* PlaySchool DVD's
* More Clothes
* Doodle Pro's
* Melamine Plate sets
* Soft unicorns
* Tea Set
* Books
* Bath Toys
* FP Sit & Stand Giraffe thing
* Money
* Bank Accounts from their Uncle Steve (and godfather)

I think Coban loved the presents more than the girls actually lol. But the pink chairs have been the biggest hit so far. Miranda & Claudia have loved climbing on them (and falling off them lol) and looking out the window.

So a full year has come and gone! It is very exciting but also a little bit saddening. I knew it would happen quickly but i guess it's one of those things that you don't quite get used to.
They had their health nurse appt today and everything went well. Claudia is over 300gms bigger now and a full cm taller so i wonder what this next year will bring.

Onto other exciting news... We bought our first house!!!! We will be moving to Mount Evelyn at the end of October and i am so looking forward to it. We will have some things to do to it but nothing major and nothing too hard. Daniel is looking forward to getting out and doing things. I now need to contact pre-schools and try and Coban into one for next year. It will only be 3 yr old again but these places fill up quickly so who knows what will happen.

And i will only be a very short drive away from the retreat venue for next year lol. Yee Haa!!!!
xxx.
